Higher Love

There is a higher love…

We look for love in all the wrong places, searching high
and low and far and wide, spending all our lives in vain--
never knowing what it is we’re after--always feeling less than satisfied, with an emptiness inside.

Momentary pleasures, stealing all our life away, never knowing we could have it all, if we only knew the way…

There is a higher love--the door is open, it can never be broken. Flying high like a dove--we can attain it, we can maintain it, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

It hurts him so to see the way we’re living, because He gave us so much more, one key of life opens the door. But he stands aside because of the promise given--to let us choose to live or die, and let his love be born inside.

We live our lives imprisoned, chained by our own sin, never knowing we could be set free--if we’d only let him in…
